Shout out to every LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning) person around the world!

It’s always nice, supportive, and fun to celebrate EVERYONE!  Whether we know someone who identifies or not…let’s simply be proud and appreciate each other. Even though we’re now two weeks into Pride Month, it’s never too late to show some color.

Below, I found a few cute things that might tickle your rainbow fancy!

UPDATE…

Hey guys!

Just a quick update…

Some posts and photos are unavailable thanks to Photobucket (a photo hosting site) changing their site without notification back in July. This also happened to be the month I was sick with the worst ear infection I’ve ever had, so I’m just now seeing the issue.

It’ll be a task but I’ll have to find the posts among the hundreds with the missing photos and updating those posts. So far, it looks like its mostly posts from two-three years ago (no recent links) and those photos are on my OLD laptop so therein lies the headache.

This is when money and a personal assistant would come in handy!

Well, I’m off to get started on this monumental climb. I’ll keep you updated and will try my best to throw a new post up if I can.

National Coffee Day 2016 is Here!

Get excited fellow coffee lovers and connoisseurs, our holiday is finally upon us again! September 29th is here and it’s National Coffee Day! If you’ve followed me around for the last 4 years, you know I take this day serious!

Have a blast from past celebrations here at Curves And Coffee:

A Coffee Break with The CEO of Camus Coffee

National Coffee Day: Featuring Camus Coffee

Celebrate National Coffee Day (Night) with Sobieski Espresso Vodka

Every year, select establishments that serve the drink we love so much will be offering some caffeine infused deals. Of course I’ve already done the digging for you so take a looksie below to see where to stop for a little (probably a lot) of java!

Einstein Bros – Free medium coffee with purchase

Peets Coffee – Free coffee with food purchase

Dunkin Donuts – Medium coffee for $0.66

Krispy Kreme – Free small coffee + free original glazed donut

Pilot Flying J – Free coffee + other hot beverages

I think this list is getting shorter and shorter every year and that absolutely sucks! More retailers should take advantage of this day to give back to its’ loyalist of customers (just saying ya know).

Speaking of giving back…for National Coffee Day, Starbucks will donate a coffee tree for every brewed cup of México Chiapas coffee. So grab your dollars for the Mexico Chiapas so Starbucks can plant a tree! That’s definitely a win-win situation!

If you know of anymore deals, feel free to send them to me via Twitter or email!

Remember, sharing is caring.

Movie Night: Love on the Run

There’s a new movie available on Apple iTunes, Amazon and VOD this week that you should definitely check out. From Tricoast, Love on the Run stars (yes, STARS)  plus size actress by the name of Jen Ponton.

loveontherunmovie1

I was able to view the movie and it was cool to see a “love story” with a plus size woman in the lead. Now, I won’t give away all the details…you’re gonna have to watch it for yourself BUT there’s definitely a few twists and turns in the plot.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see more curves in Hollywood?! Jen definitely thinks so. Can’t wait to see more of her in the future.

US Open 2016: Lavazza x Andre Agassi “I’m Back”

The US Open kicked off on Monday and I couldn’t be more excited! Not only do I get to see my favorite sport on east coast hours but the legendary Andre Agassi is making his return. Lavazza helped celebrate his return to the US Open. After a decade of being gone from the US Open, he returned.

Ok, that isn’t Andre Agassi but a flash mob of blonde mullet lookalikes that invaded Union Station in New York. Earlier on Tuesday, Agassi teamed up with Lavazza for a celebration that included the flash mob and coffee at NYC’s Nomo Kitchen.

Lavazza Celebrates: the Return of Andre Agassi to the US Open
I don’t know about you but I definitely want a cup of Lavazza after seeing this frothy brewed cup.

To top off all of this goodness, Lavazza will be donating a portion of their sales during the US Open to the Andre Agassi Foundation which will support the education of children. “For every cup of Lavazza coffee ($3) purchased at the US Open this year, one dollar ($1) will be donated to the USTA to support the Andre Agassi Foundation.”  So if you’re in the New York area and going to see some tennis, be sure to help the kids and get your brew crew on!

The Return

Hey guys, I know it’s been forever since my last post but I’ll be back soon!

After a fall, a surgery, planning a wedding, helping family, and being just plain ol burnt out with writing and being social with social media…I needed a break. Hopefully everyone understands, we all need a break from time to time.

Sooooo what can you expect in the return….?

Well, there’ll be some fall fashion, shopping fun and possibly a self shoot with something special from Perfectly Priscilla (soon as it’s not 100 degrees outside!)

In the meantime, thanks for hanging in there with me and being the supportive friends that you are.

If you’re not following me on Twitter (where I’m currently cheering on #TeamUSA in the Rio olympics….you should do so NOW!)

Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

As a cause I always hold so close and dear to my heart since my Grandmother was diagnosed and fought for over 20 years, I urge all those that are able to help…please do so.

You can help by shopping, donating, spreading the word, volunteering, and even getting the proper tests or exams for yourself.

I’ve compiled a list of very import sites that are helping to kick breast cancer in the ass! Included in the list below are several stores that will donate a percentage of their sales from their special Breast Cancer Awareness Month items directly to specific organizations.

( 🙂 this post is in all pink of course so be sure to click links that are BOLD 🙂 )

01torridbca

Torrid will donate 15% of marked items purchased from their “Breast Cancer Awareness Collection” to National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc.

01lanebca

Lane Bryant will donate 10% of items purchased from their “Cause Collection” to the American Cancer Society.

And of course there are other ways to help raise awareness including donating directly to non-profit breast cancer awareness and research foundations, as well as the American Cancer Society. This also ensures your money goes directly to the foundations that need it most. Listed below are the Avon Foundation (Breast Cancer Crusade, Susan G. Komen and Karmanos Institute here in Michigan.

In related information, be sure when you are purchasing PINK items, those PINK items and company are actually giving a percentage of that sale to a reputable cancer research or awareness organization. Don’t just buy PINK without knowing you’re giving your hard earned money to a cause.

For more information on donating/spending head over to Think Before You Pinkan organization fighting and giving important tidbits about companies who don’t donate a percentage at all or those companies who sell cancer causing products.

FYI: you’re going to learn A LOT!
