There are few things I love more than I love leather and one of those things are colored leather! Not being a big wearer of leather only an admirer from afar, it’s rare that I find something that urges to be bought (unless it has handles, strap, clasp or a zipper aka handbags.) So imagine my excitement while viewing the fall/winter collection from Jitrois! Founded by Jean-Claude Jitrois in 1983, it really and truly is a line made specifically with leathers. This ain’t your mothers leather either ladies and gents!
A show-stopping, breath-taking and eye-popping show with a spectrum of colors all in leather. J’taime Jitrois!

Did I mention this is all leather?
The details on this sweater…..LEATHER!
Off-white leather with sheer…..blue fringe….tulle….ahhhhh!
Structured. Seriously. Man.
Ladies and stylish gents…when I tell you, I am in love, I mean it. Those were some of the most beautiful pieces of clothing I’ve seen in a while. I really had to keep reminding myself that it’s leather. Pretty sure that’s why I’m so in love. What do you think? Am I crazy or is my fascination justified?
Loved. It. All.
Do you know how hard it is to pick your favorites from an entire collection of favorites? Elie Saab definitely makes me want to run 600 miles to lose every curve on my body to wear one of these gowns around the house. That’s sarcasm of course, I’d wear an Elie Saab gown to the grocery store! Don’t you worry stylish sweets…my curves aren’t going ANYWHERE. I work too hard to get and keep these voluptuousness-ly womanly parts that I love so much. Moving right along…you know what happens when I absolutely love everything, yeppers, here’s the show!
Annnnnd here’s a better view of my favorites *wink wink*

The End.
With each post about fashion and certain designers that are unknown to me, I do a bit of research before I hit the publish button. As this blog grows, I’m learning more and more about tons of things from fashion to food. When it’s news to me, it becomes news to you! Sharing is caring stylish sweets! So, that brings us here to Vionnet. Thee Madame Madeleine Vionnet was the originator of the “bias cut” yes, that’s right, created in 1912 according to the Vionnet website. How amazing is that?! Let’s take a looksie at the updated version of the bias and the Vionnet fall/winter collection from Paris.
The collection was incredible and the show was even better! Here’s the full video of the models walking the runway after an elaborate light show!
This time around let’s get a glimpse of a fairly new designer Steffie Christiaens. Presenting her first fashion week collection in just 2011, Steffie worked with Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and Maison Martin Margiela in previous years (steffiechristiaens.com). Focusing on the artistic and architectural shapes of fabric, her collections are breezy, fresh, raw and structured…a combination I adore.

So, Steffie Christiaens…would you mind if I ooh and ahh over your collections, forever?!
Leave it to Jean-Charles de Castelbajac to give us our punk-rock moment of Paris Fashion Week. Better known as JC/DC (because that’s easier to pronounce here in the states) has been known for his quirky and bright collections since 2010. Besides me having the worst birthday week ever being stuck indoors with a cold, this fashion moment has made my day and week! Anywho, enough talking, writing err reading lol enjoy what made my eyes pop!

Yes, your vision is ok. Those are 3D wolves coming at you out of tartan plain dresses and ponchos. See things definitely got quirky at this runway show. I love it, this is what fashion is all about…being creative and putting it all out there! Now, I’m not saying I’d purchase these wolves ensembles because I have a thing against me and my chubbiness wearing 3D animals. Nonetheless… thank you JC/DC for giving us this fun show!
Hakaan presented a fall/winter collection for Paris Fashion Week 2013/14 that I am in love with.
There’s something about gowns that are cut on a bias that soothes my inner vixen. Clean lines, fresh feathers (yes, feathers) and knee high leather boots are all the perfect ingredients for a fashionable fall season. Hakaan kept the show clean with three primary colors of black, red and white…can never go wrong with those classic colors.

Got it.
Chains. Boots. Leather. Tweed.
I’m definitely picking up a few things this year.
Olympia Le-Tan :: A handbag designer who turns “old books” into cute clutches. I remember reading about these books as clutches a couple of years ago. Always having way too much to carry around with me, I never thought of owning one…very cute and fun to look at, there may be one in my closet soon.
The whole books as handbags thing isn’t what caught my eye this week in Paris. The fashion did. The fall and winter collection from fashion week…well…picture German lederhosen…ok now picture sexy models…now put those two together and you get a collection that’s cutesy, sexy and absolutely to die for!
Think I forgot to mention there were some curvalicious models in her show, haha hope you enjoyed!
Who knew German lederhosen could be so stylish and sexy?!
Futuristic is the first thing that comes to my mind after flipping the runway shots. But then as I started getting further into the pics, I instantly reverted back to high school when Puff Daddy & Mase were hot in the streets. If you’re too young to remember, I’m sorry but everyone wore shiny suits back and Mugler gives it us. A bit of the past mixing with the future. Creative, I love it for making my brain turn to mush.
That’s it for now, there’s tons of show today in the wee wee wee hours of the night or morning to attend. By attend I totally mean pulling out my laptop at 3am which will be 9am in Paris and watching a few shows in my pajamas with a little warm green tea…yum.
